The four Anaconda Mk II community goals closed on 29 October, and Faulcon DeLacy has called the trials "incredibly valuable". With no community goals running as of 2 November, it is a good moment to look at what the week told us and what is coming next.
What Faulcon DeLacy said
Chief of Design Frank Endis told Vox Galactica that "the Mk II is an extremely capable all-round ship, and we've worked hard to improve on the original design," adding that "its flexibility, coupled with the new armour upgrades and internal slot options, should make it a very attractive ship for pilots looking for a Jack of all trades."
When it reaches shipyards
The same GalNet report repeats the plan for the ship itself: the Anaconda Mk II "is currently available for exclusive purchase initially and will transition to limited shipyard inventories at a later date." In plain terms, it is still an ARX Early Access ship for now, and Frontier has not given a date for credits. When the Python Mk II went through the same process, that took three months.
"A Jack of all trades is exactly what the Anaconda always was. The Mk II just has more slots to prove it."
The Exiles
Three pirates still at large
GalNet has gone quiet on the EVE-597 fugitives. There has been no update since 13 October, when Wallglass Investigations named the three escaped pirate leaders as Gunther Bernhardt, Yaz Murano and Trey Coombes and warned pilots not to approach them. Three pirate bosses loose in the galaxy, a month before a crime overhaul, feels like a story that is not finished yet.
What comes next
Frontier's October Dev Log promised that this month's Dev Log will bring more on Law & Disorder, including new modules, Pilots' Federation bounties and a first look at how the changes are shaping up in game. Law & Disorder itself is a free update due in December, reworking crime, punishment, piracy and smuggling across the galaxy.
Flying with the squadron
Quiet weeks are a good time to get ready for the busy ones. If you want people to fly with before Law & Disorder lands, come and say hello in our Discord, and our Elite Dangerous hub has more on flying with the squadron. New commanders welcome, no gatekeeping.
