With the Anaconda Mk II now live, Faulcon DeLacy has launched four community goals to put it through its paces: one each for mining, trade, combat and exploration. They started on 22 October and run for a week, closing on 29 October. You do not need the new ship to take part. Any vessel counts.
Faulcon DeLacy's Chief of Design Frank Endis explains the idea on GalNet: "most new ship launches focus on testing one or two new capabilities, but the Anaconda has always proven itself as an all-round vessel. It makes sense to put it through its paces against everything that it can do."
What everyone gets
Register at least one contribution to any of the four and you receive a Faulcon DeLacy decal, an Anaconda Mk II Faulcon Red paint job, and credits depending on the tier reached and how much you put in. Contribute to all four and you also get a golden Faulcon DeLacy decal. The paint is for the Mk II itself, so it is worth picking up even if you are not flying one yet. The mining, combat and exploration goals all ask you to sign up at their station first, so do that before you start.
Mining: Reorte
Sign up at Davies High in the Reorte system, then mine platinum, painite or osmium and sell it on Davies High's market. Mined goods sold for this goal get a 6x price multiplier.
Trade: AD Leonis
Deliver polymers, coffee, uranium and liquid oxygen to Homer Platform in AD Leonis. Commodities sold for this goal get an 8x price multiplier, the biggest of the four.
Combat: HR 8061
Sign up at Bowen Dock in HR 8061, then take combat missions from any mission board within 25 light years, finish them and hand them in. Each one counts for its highest possible credit reward, whichever reward you actually pick.
Exploration: HD 232819
Sign up at the megaship Magrathea II in HD 232819, gather system and planetary scan data, and sell it to Universal Cartographics on board. Exploration data from the Elysian Shore sold for this goal gets a 1.5x price multiplier.
"Four goals, one week, and a free paint job for anyone who turns up. Pick the one that matches how you like to fly."
The Exiles
When we checked on 26 October, all four still had a long way to go to their targets. And for anyone still wondering how to get the ship itself, GalNet's in-universe announcement matches last week's patch notes: the Mk II is "immediately available as an early-release purchase and will later transition to wider shipyard availability."
Flying with the squadron
Community goals go faster with company, whether that is a wing running combat missions out of HR 8061 or a few haulers sharing the AD Leonis run. Come and say hello in our Discord, and our Elite Dangerous hub has more on flying with the squadron. New commanders welcome, no gatekeeping.
