CIG is targeting a Live release for Alpha 4.10.2 this week. In their own words, teams "remained focused on Alpha 4.10.2, and this week, we're targeting its Live release, bringing a new event to the Stanton system as well as another round of fixes and improvements."

First, a deadline

Orison Relief Support, the relief effort we covered three weeks ago, runs until 7 October. If you want the full set of SecondWind gear, that is the window closing, not a vague "soon".

Planet Tech V5 has started testing

CIG kicked off the first Evocati-only Tech Preview of Planet Tech V5, which they call "our first step toward bringing the new planetary tech into the Persistent Universe", with a wider audience to follow. Planet tech is the sort of thing that sounds abstract until the ground under your ship stops looking like 2019.

Alongside it, the Physicalized Entity Netcode overhaul went through PTU testing, which CIG says drew an encouraging early response, and ship time to kill balancing is being tuned, including an AI modifier for PvE.

"Netcode and time to kill are not glamorous patch notes. They are the two things that decide whether a fight feels fair."

The Exiles

A new series worth following

CIG has started 10 From the Community, and the first episode covers a lot of ground: Mission System 2.0, Maelstrom, the new flight model, engineering gameplay, AI blades, suit lockers and medical respawning. If you want one place to catch up on where the big systems are headed, this is now it.

And Squadron 42

The campaign is still aimed at Q2 2027, and CIG has said a small number of original backers and long-time content creators get to play it during October. Whatever those players are able to say afterwards will tell us more than any roadmap entry.
