Colonia Turns Ten
The Anniversary Supply Call Is Live

Ten years after commanders hauled a stranded station into the black, Colonia is throwing a party, and it needs cargo ships.

Colonia is ten years old, and Elite Dangerous is marking it the way the deep-space colony was built in the first place, with a lot of commanders hauling a lot of cargo.

Frontier has opened the anniversary with a supply initiative, a community goal any pilot can join. Brewer Corporation has moved a fleet of cargo megaships into position to run a galaxy-spanning logistics operation, moving commodities and rare goods out of the core systems and on to Colonia, roughly 22,000 light years from the bubble. Commanders sign up at the staging market and sell the listed goods, and the initiative sweetens the deal with a profit multiplier on qualifying cargo. The operation stages out of the Facece system, with sign-up and sales at Peters Base and a 1.5x profit bump on goods that count toward the goal.

Why it is worth a look

This is one of the most approachable community goals Elite gets. You do not need a combat build or a wing. You need a cargo hold and a willingness to fly. Newer commanders can bank a healthy pile of credits and community-goal reputation while contributing to a genuine milestone, and veterans get a nostalgia lap.

That nostalgia is the real hook. Colonia did not come from a patch note. It grew out of the Jaques Station saga, when a jump-drive misfire stranded a station 22,000 light years from home and thousands of players spontaneously flew out to supply it and build a second home in the black. Ten years later it is a living region with its own stations, factions and identity, all of it player-fed.

"Colonia did not come from a patch note. It came from thousands of players deciding a stranded station was worth saving."

The Exiles

A soft on-ramp

If deep-space hauling is not your usual beat, this is an easy way in. Load a hauler, plot the route, and you are contributing within a jump or two of undocking. It is a low-pressure, high-reward reason to point your ship somewhere new.

Flying it with the squadron

If you would rather run the long haul to Colonia in company than solo 22,000 light years of black, come and say hello in our Discord, and our Elite Dangerous hub has more on flying with the squadron. New commanders welcome, no gatekeeping.
